The daughter of former Tonga, Worcester and Gloucester hooker Aleki, Lutui started playing rugby aged 13 for Worcester RFC and remained there until she was 18, when she came to Loughborough University and made an immediate impact in BUCS Super Rugby. 

Her performances saw her thrust into a Lightning squad for the final game of the 2024/25 season against Trailfinders – although her debut didn’t come until the PWR: The Cup block at the start of the 2025/26 season, becoming Lightning #142 

Luitui is a powerful No.8, and the 2025/26 season was a breakout year for the young forward, who earned the PWR Breakthrough player of the season and the Lightning Young Player of the Season as she topped the carry count in the league with an impressive 247 carries, 47 more than any other player in the league in her first year in professional rugby. 

Her impressive performances in the African Violet saw her go on to receive senior international honours, winning her first cap in front of 77,000 people at the Allianz Stadium in the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations and scored her first try on her second cap against Scotland.
