Scotland international loosehead Young signed for Lightning in 2024 from Sale Sharks.

The Hertfordshire-born prop first played rugby at her local club, Helensburgh, and is a product of the Hermitage Academy.

Young made her Scotland debut in November 2021, during the side's Autumn Test against Japan and also studied for an MA in Social Anthropology and Politics at the University of Edinburgh, where she played in the BUCS league.

As well as being a dependable scrummager, Young is also a strong ball carrier, helping club and country to get over the gainline!
