Northampton is set to celebrate the one-year anniversary of hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup in style with RugbyFest 2.0 – a family-friendly festival taking place at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday 12 September, from 11am to 6pm.
Hosted by Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning, the carnival-themed event will return to the venue that staged the Red Roses’ 14-try, 92-3 victory over Samoa during last year’s Rugby World Cup.
RugbyFest 2.0 promises a packed day of entertainment, games, music and rugby, celebrating the Red Roses one year on from their incredible World Cup triumph.
Whether you’re a lifelong rugby supporter or simply looking for a fun family day out, there will be something for everyone to enjoy, including:
- A watch party for England’s WXV fixture against Australia on the big screen in the newly-redeveloped Supporter Village
- Street food, drinks, cocktails and a festival atmosphere
- Inflatable rugby games, family activities and fun challenges
- A girls-only U9/U10 ‘Pitch Up and Play’ session, alongside a Women’s Touch Rugby Festival
General admission for RugbyFest 2.0 is £5*, with tickets available to purchase HERE.
If your child would like to participate in the girls-only U9/U10 ‘Pitch Up and Play’ session (for Year 4 and Year 5 pupils as of September 2026), please purchase the dedicated GA + U9/U10 Girls Rugby ticket, also available for just £5*.

“The Women’s Rugby World Cup was an incredible event that was fully embraced by our local community, and we’re delighted to be celebrating it one year on,” said Yvette Heywood, Head of Women’s Rugby Partnership at Northampton Saints.
“Last year’s RugbyFest – which we hosted in Abington Park during the Women’s Rugby World Cup itself – was a fantastic occasion, bringing people together to enjoy and experience women’s rugby, whether that was as participants or spectators.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming as many people as possible back to Franklin’s Gardens as we celebrate our Red Roses and enjoy a brilliant day of festival fun and rugby.”
Tickets for RugbyFest 2.0 will be distributed closer to the event.
