Entering her second year of study at Loughborough, fly-half Barnes started last year’s winning BUCS Super Rugby final – in the 45-5 victory over Brunel at Rodney Parade.

She became Lightning #147 Next Gen Cup and went on to represent the African Violet three further times in the 2026 Cup competition, where she started at fly-half. Playing with complete freedom and instinct, she has an amazing skillset and is hugely talented with her boot.
