DPD have become Loughborough Lightning’s Principal Partner

DPD joins Loughborough Lightning as Principal Partner

Loughborough Lightning are delighted to announce DPD as the team’s Principal Partner for the 2026/27 JAECOO PWR season.

The premium parcel delivery firm’s logo will take pride of place on the front of Lightning’s home and away shirts throughout the league campaign, as part of an expanded partnership with Lightning’s partner club, Northampton Saints.

DPD – announced as Saints’ Principal Partner in July – has further strengthened its commitment to Lightning and Saints by securing the naming rights to the Club’s iconic home, which will now be known as DPD Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

Lightning will play their first home game at DPD Stadium in the curtain raising 2026/27 JAECOO PWR encounter on Friday 20 November, which will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer.

The enhanced agreement marks another significant step in the growing relationship between Saints, Lightning and one of the UK’s most recognised brands.

The expanded partnership reflects the strong alignment between the three organisations, who share a commitment to performance, teamwork, reliability and delivering consistently high standards.

“We are extremely grateful to DPD for making this commitment to Loughborough Lightning, and to women’s rugby,” said Yvette Heywood, Head of Women’s Rugby Partnership at Northampton Saints.

“This is our fourth season of Lightning playing all of our home JAECOO PWR league matches here in Northampton, and the team will be proud to run out at DPD Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens in shirts that carry the company’s name.

”Securing DPD as a Principal Partner is a significant milestone that emphasises the growth of Loughborough Lightning. Year on year, we have attracted more commercial partners alongside more supporters that are coming along to our games, as women’s rugby continues to grow.

“We are looking forward to working with DPD, and are excited about what we can achieve together over the years ahead.”

“Women’s rugby continues to go from strength to strength, and Lightning have established themselves as an ambitious and exciting team with a strong connection to the wider Saints family.

“As our partnership with Northampton Saints continues to develop, supporting Lightning was a natural next step for us. We’re proud to have our name on the front of the shirts and look forward to supporting the players, staff and supporters throughout the seasons ahead.”
