VIEW FIXTURES BUY SEASON TICKETS
Loughborough Lightning will kick off the new JAECOO Premiership Women’s Rugby season by featuring in the league’s 2026/27 curtain raiser as they host last year’s losing finalists, Trailfinders Women.
The Franklin’s Gardens clash – which is included in the Lightning 2026/27 Season ticket – will be under the Friday Night Lights on 20 November (kick-off: 7:30pm) and will be shown live on BBC iPlayer.
Lightning will also play two double headers in under a week with Northampton Saints. The first will be staged at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, against Harlequins (kick-off: 2pm) as part of the Big Game, before Saints also take on Quins at the same venue (kick-off: 5pm).
Six days later, back at Franklin’s Gardens, Lightning lock horns with East Midlands rivals Leicester Tigers on Sunday 3 January (kick-off: 6pm), following on from Saints’ showdown with Sale Sharks (kick-off: 3pm).
Lightning’s last home game before Christmas is the visit of Exeter Chiefs to Franklin’s Gardens on Sunday December 6 (kick-off: 12.15pm). The corresponding fixture in the 2025/26 campaign was a thrilling 33-33 draw, with Meg Davey scoring a dramatic late equalising try.
Another highlight in the confirmed fixtures is another dose of Friday Night Lights, this time at Shaftesbury Park, as Lightning travel to Bristol Bears on Friday 15 January (kick-off: 7.45pm).
PWR today released the dates and kick-off times for the first eight rounds of the new season, with the subsequent fixture dates and times to follow later in the season.
On the fixture release, Lightning Head Coach Nathan Smith said, “We’re looking to the upcoming season for what we hope will be a year to remember for the club.
“Last season, off the back of the Rugby World Cup, we saw some brilliant momentum and growth in the Lightning family both on and off the pitch, and we hope that continues into 2026/27.
“Playing all of our regular league home games for the past three seasons at an iconic stadium such as Franklin’s Gardens is a real honour and privilege. It is the best surface in the league.
“The support we receive is getting better season-on-season and I am looking forward to seeing that develop even further this season.
“It is also a tremendous opportunity for us to play in two double headers with Saints. To play two games in a week at Allianz Stadium and Franklin’s Gardens is very special and a challenge we are looking forward to.”
