Loughborough Lightning are proud to announce a landmark multi-year partnership with Michael Jones Jeweller, who become the team’s Official Jewellery Partner.
This groundbreaking agreement marks the first time a commercial partner has committed to supporting both Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning, Saints’ women’s team.
As part of the deal, the Michael Jones Jeweller brand will feature prominently on Lightning’s playing shorts from the beginning of the new Premiership Women’s Rugby season, which begins this weekend with Loughborough travelling to London to face Harlequins Women on Friday evening (kick-off: 7.30pm).
Founded in 1919, Michael Jones Jeweller is a prestigious, employee-owned business with two stores in the heart of Northampton and one in the historic market town of Banbury.
The company has been a valued partner of Northampton Saints since 2019, extending its sponsorship of the Michael Jones Jeweller Champions Suite at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens in 2023.
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Michael Jones Jeweller as the Official Jewellery Partner of Loughborough Lightning,” said Ulundi Makhanya, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning.
“It’s a proud moment to see a partner invest in both our men’s and women’s teams.”
Mark Conway, Director of Michael Jones Jeweller, added: “We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with the Saints family by supporting Loughborough Lightning.
“As a business rooted in the local community, we’re passionate about backing organisations that inspire and unite people.
“This partnership reflects our values and commitment to supporting elite rugby across both the men’s and women’s game. We’re especially excited to see Lightning’s Rugby World Cup stars return to Club action this season and to play a part in their journey.”
