Loughborough Lightning’s Ellie Roberts will co-captain England Student Women’s side as they take on UK Armed Forces this weekend.
Roberts packs down at No.8 for the match at Cobham RFC on Saturday 11 July (kick-off: 5pm), and is joined on the back row by openside flanker Sarah Shrestha. Both players featured prominently in Loughborough University’s BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship triumph earlier this year.
England Students Women's Head Coach Andrew Ford said: “We can’t wait for Saturday afternoon. The group have gelled really well and have taken on board those key principles of adopting one another, becoming a family and being authentic to themselves.
“We’ve had an excellent training week kindly hosted at Aldershot Garrison the home of the British Army, and Saturday's performance will be a culmination of all of these players’ hard work both across this week and their university careers.”
