Rowland became only the 22nd player in Loughborough Lightning history to hit the 50-appearance back in the East Midlands Derby against Leicester Tigers in January 2025 – a match she lit up with a try and eight conversions.
She began her rugby career aged six at Aylesbury RFC, before playing at both Tring and Bicester RFC before making her senior England debut in November 2020 in England’s fixture against Italy in their Grand Slam Six Nations campaign.
Rowland has Sevens pedigree on the World Rugby Sevens Series, and her flexibility has seen her regularly deployed by club and country at fly-half, centre, fullback – and most recently a first foray on the wing when she bagged a hat-trick against Spain for the Red Roses heading into the Rugby World Cup.
