Rowland began her rugby career aged six at Aylesbury RFC, before playing at both Tring and Bicester RFC, before making her senior England debut in November 2020 in England’s fixture against Italy in their Grand Slam Six Nations campaign.

Rowland has Sevens pedigree on the World Rugby Sevens Series, and her flexibility has seen her regularly deployed by club and country at fly-half, centre, fullback – and most recently a first foray on the wing when she bagged a hat-trick against Spain for the Red Roses heading into the Rugby World Cup.

The versatile back was a key figure in John Mitchell’s 2025 World Cup winning squad, scoring 27 points (one try and 11 conversions) in a Player of the Match performance that lit up her home ground, Franklin's Gardens, in England’s 92-3 group stage win over Samoa. Now sitting on 51 appearances in an England shirt, Rowland is in a unique situation, having never lost a fixture for her country.

After an extensive rehabilitation from knee surgery post the World Cup final, Rowland returned to action for Lightning against Sale Sharks in March 2026 and went on to score 36 points in the season.
