Tickets are now on sale for Loughborough Lightning’s JAECOO Next Gen Cup 2026/27 clash with Leicester Tigers, held at Loughborough University, on Saturday 17 October (kick-off: 2pm).
The eagerly-anticipated East Midlands Derby encounter will be Lightning’s fourth-and-final Cup pool stage game, before the knock-out stages of the competition commence.
Lightning are on a five-game winning streak against Tigers with those fixtures averaging more than 70 points scored per game – the most recent head-to-head being the gripping final match of the 2025/26 PWR season, which Lightning won 36-50.
The match is Lightning’s first to be staged at Loughborough University’s 4G pitch in more than a year, following on from last season’s Cup games also being staged at the location. It is also the first time this head-to-head has been held at the venue – and Loughborough University and Loughborough College students can watch the match for just £1!
Admission to this fixture is free for 26/27 Lightning Season Ticket Holders.
