Loughborough Lightning are back at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens for the penultimate time this season as they take on reigning Premiership Women’s Rugby champions Gloucester Hartpury this Sunday (22 March, kick-off: 12.15pm).

Lightning’s last outing against was a massive 43-33 victory over Harlequin’s under the Lights last Friday as the African Violets look to back it up this Sunday against the Circus.

Some of the biggest names in women’s rugby are set to feature; including World Cup winners Lilli Ives Campion, Helena Rowland, Maud Muir and Mo Hunt.

  • Bletchley RFC will be providing the guard of honour as the teams run out onto the pitch.
  • Fancy some extra rugby? Catch two of our community festivals on Pitch 0.5 and Pitch 3 before the big game.
  • For the 2025/26 PWR season, Loughborough Lightning has a brand new fan-zone located between the Gate 2 turnstiles up to the South Stand Reception.
  • Make sure you’re pitchside after the final whistle for your chance to receive a signed ball from a Lightning player.

NORTHAMPTON SAINTS FOUNDATION

  • Following on from Northampton Saints Foundation Day game at cinch Stadium on Saturday, which aims to both raise awareness and funds for the Foundation, the foundation will also be raising funds at Sunday’s Lightning game.
  • Before kick-off, keep an eye out on the pitch as Lightning players will be wearing red during their warm-up to show their support for Foundation Day.  
  • Buy raffle tickets from our Foundation representatives for the chance to win some fantastic prizes.   
  • Make a donation at the till when you visit the Village shop.
  • Ask bar staff to add ‘One for the Foundation’ to your order. This adds £1 to your total, which will go directly towards supporting the Foundation’s work across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes. 

2025/26 LIGHTNING KIT

  • Make sure to get to the Village Store to get your hands on Loughborough Lightning home and away kits for the 2025/26 season and show your support!
  • Loughborough Lightning bobble hats are also available.

MATCHDAY PROGRAMME

  • Loughborough Lightning’s matchday programme is available to all supporters, free of charge, via a digital-only format.
  • From 4pm on Friday 20 March, the matchday programme for Lightning vs Gloucester Hartpury will be available to view HERE.

CAR PARKING

  • Car Park D is available for supporters, priced at £3 (NN5 5JT)
  • Car Park hangers do not apply for this fixture.
  • Car Parks D opens from 9.45am.
  • After the Car Parks close at 10pm, there will be no access to any vehicle left behind until Monday morning.
  • Parking for Blue Badge holders ONLY is available in Car Park A, please pre-book this with the Ticket Office by emailing ticketoffice@northamptonsaints.co.uk
  • Given that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens sits in a residential area of the town, we strongly urge all supporters to use the Club’s Car Parks. Should they choose not to do so, supporters must park with due care and respect for the needs of local residents and businesses.

FOOD & DRINK

  • Rodber Bar (East Stand) will be open from 10:45am. Hot and cold drinks will be available along with food options.
  • There will also be a Pick & Mix stall in the Rodber Bar.
  • Hot drinks will also be available from the coffee unit in the village.
  • Please be aware that cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is a cashless stadium; all bars and food outlets will only accept card payments.

SENSORY ROOM

  • Box 1 (East Stand) is available to use as a sensory room on Lightning matchdays.
  • This a designated space to help people, regardless of age, who have sensory processing needs.
  • Its purpose is to provide a safe and calming environment for those with neurodivergent needs who may be finding the match atmosphere overwhelming.
  • This will include ear defenders, fidget toys, colouring, feelings cards and calming sound/light for people to use.

OTHER INFO

  • ​The Club requests that supporters refrain from standing at the side of the pitch to watch the warm-up to prevent congestion. Please watch the warm-up from your seat.
  • There will NOT be an official timekeeper in attendance at the game on Friday, so the in-stadium clocks will not stop during the game.
  • Saints’ Fan Radios will NOT be in use on Sunday.
