Loughborough Lightning will once more be well represented in the WXV Global Series after eight players were picked for the final match of three clashes between Canada and the Red Roses this year.
Having become the first team to prevent England from victory in 40 games with a draw at Sandy park in September, the Canucks went one better with a thrilling 24-21 victory in Toronto last weekend.
The sides meet again Ottawa at 12am on Saturday 22 October UK time at the TD Place Stadium.
Canada, who have Lightning Head Coach Nathan Smith coaching their forwards during a period of secondment, have picked four players in their matchday squad who will be heading to Loughborough following the conclusion of the international period.
Kiki Idowu starts at hooker while Florence Symonds is selected at outside centre. Prop Brooke Rempel and back row Pamphinette Buisa await their chance to impress as replacements.
For the visitors, Lilli Ives Campion retains her position in the second row while both Sadia Kabeya and Helena Rowland are restored to the starting line-up having operated from the bench last time out. Kabeya packs down at openside flanker, while Rowland is preferred at inside centre.
All of Lightning’s international stars will be back in the selection mix for their JAECOO PWR 2026/27 season opener against Trailfinders Women at DPD Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Friday 20 November (kick-off: 7.30pm) – tickets are available by clicking HERE.
